frequently asked questions
What exactly is Simple Sunday?
Think of us as your dedicated partner for church communications and administration. We handle the design and administrative tasks like bulletins, sermon graphics, bookkeeping, and social media so that you and your team can focus on what matters most: your ministry and your people. We are all about giving you back your time and helping your church communicate beautifully.
Who is this service for? Is our church a good fit?
We partner with pastors and church leaders who are passionate about ministry but overwhelmed by weekly administrative tasks. Whether you're leading a new church plant or an established congregation, if you value clear, consistent, and professional communication, we’re likely a strong match.
How does the process actually work each week?
We keep it simple, but can also make it custom to your needs! We typically set up a shared online folder (like Google Drive or Dropbox). You just drop in your sermon notes, announcements, and any other content for the week by our agreed-upon deadline. We take it from there, handle all the design work, and send the finished files back to you for review or further revisions.
How much of our time will this take?
Our goal is to save you time, not create more work. Initially, there's a small time investment in our kickoff call to get us up to speed. From there, we’ll aim to meet once a week, or less if you prefer, to stay in touch about different tasks. After that, you'll probably spend 30-60 minutes a week gathering your content for us. We handle the rest.
What if we're not very tech-savvy?
That's no problem at all! In fact, that's why we're here. We handle all the design software, scheduling tools, and technical bits. As long as you can write an email, call us, or even schedule a time to meet in person, you have all the tech skills you need to work with us.
Why shouldn't we just ask a volunteer to do this?
This is a great question. We love dedicated volunteers! The difference is that we can provide a guaranteed level of professional quality, strategy, and—most importantly—consistency every single week. By partnering with us, you free up your gifted volunteers to focus on relational ministry, serving in the nursery, or leading a small group, which is often a better stewardship of their time and passion.
Who owns the designs once they're finished?
You do! Once your payment for a month of service is complete, your church fully owns the final files we worked on (e.g., the PDF bulletin, the JPG sermon graphic, QuickBooks files).
We retain the rights to our internal working files, like our design templates. We also reserve the right to showcase the work in our portfolio, with church names anonymized, to help other ministries see what's possible. As a courtesy, we also keep a backup of your final files for one year, just in case you ever misplace anything.
How does the pricing work? Is this a long-term contract?
We believe in simplicity and trust. All our packages are a flat, predictable monthly fee so you can easily budget for them. We generally use a simple 30-day rolling agreement (outside of special projects), which means you're never locked into a long-term contract. You can adjust or cancel your plan with 30 days' notice.
Are your services fully remote, or can we meet in person?
We're not just a remote service! We are based in Wilmore and proudly serve churches throughout the Lexington area, so we are always happy to meet in person for coffee. We can also work 100% remotely if that's more convenient for you. For any on-site work required outside our Central Kentucky service area, a simple travel fee would be discussed upfront.
This sounds great! How do we get started, or ask further questions?
We'd love to chat! The next step is to book a free, no-pressure 30-minute consultation call. We'll listen to your church's specific needs, answer any other questions you have, and see if we're a good fit for each other. Just click the button below to reach out, and we can find a time that works for both of us!
